Did everyone get this email? If not, I need your email address.

Hello ALL!

I hope that if you are getting this email, you are still interested, or better yet, excited to join the BULL RIVER BIGGEST LOSER competition. Without giving all the details in this email (boring) I wanted to give you a heads up on some general rules and dates to plan on. I am very excited to be starting a 12 week journey with you all and whoever else that may be interested in hopping on board! FOR UPDATED INFO PLEASE CHECK our team website: bullriverbiggestloser.blogspot.com

First of all, the GAME ON! will officially start on Wednesday, October 28th, at my house. It will be open house style from 5:30pm to 8:30pm to accommodate different schedules. All weigh-ins will or can be ANONYMOUS and will take place in my garage, please do not show up in swim suit. :) Light weight gym clothes, or slim fitting outfits are just fine. We will decide a number of things that night among the group, but most importantly, we will be getting your starting weight and measurements (chest, waist, hips, thighs, etc...). We will also be taking GAME ON! pictures, for end of game comparisons. AND... can't have a weigh-in without food! Be prepared to shovel it down before you step on that scale! (please bring your own scale if you want to see how it differs from the official {my cheapo} scale).

A few rules:

  •  Each person will choose a three digit ID# and  will need at least one other person on the team to know your numbers (ID#, measurements and weight). I am willing to do that as the host, or you can choose your own partner.

  • We will keep track of percentage lost by ID#(unless you want your name posted), pounds lost, and the %, not by current weight, to keep things anonymous.

  • The grand prize will go to the person who has lost the most percentage of their original body weight, because our team is Co-Ed. But I am considering using 25% of the pot to go to the person who lost the most total inches. What do you think of that?

  • The cost to join is $20, but since we have give or take, 12 people, if we all contributed $25, that would make the jackpot $300! Let me know what you think about that too. If $25 dollars is a little steep for anyone, please email me! I want to make it worth it for all competitors!

  • We will only be having FOUR official weigh-ins at my house. GAME ON! night, week 4, week 8 and our last weigh-in will be exactly 12 weeks from this wednesday. All other numbers and weigh-ins will be coming from your scale at home.

  • Everything will be kept track on our team blog, along with tips and other tid-bits from your host (me) and anyone else who chooses to motivate! You will all be given authorship to the blog with your email adress, so make sure I have the right one.

  • For those who cannot meet here in LEHI (we have several out-of-towners), you will be taking pictures (in simple gym clothes) at home of you and then your feet on your scale. So this requires you to have a scale (the same one) each week. You will also be picking ID #'s but they will be sent to me and I will be the one posting your numbers to our blog.

What other questions do you have?

So far we have 3 men and about 9 women. I know it's kind of awkward to invite people to lose weight, but don't be shy about inviting your friends and neighbors in on the game! It's fun! I am going to try and round up a few more people at the gym, but do your part and invite someone that will be motivating to compete with! The more money, the more motivation right?

Please bring your money on Wednesday, or send a check made out to Jourdan Boynton to my address: (email me for my address)  Lehi UT, 84043. I will add your cash to the pot that night from my account.

I'll be introducing you all on the blog as soon as I get an email from you afirming that you are in! I am also planning on scheduling a 5k run/walk somewhere in the middles of the 12 weeks. THis really would be more effective if it were fair weather and not smack dab in the middle of the holidays, but it's now or never, right?

Remember to reply if you're still in or have any more questions!

JOURDAN
