  1. Wahoo fruits and vegetables!! I hate fruits and vegetables, but I am learning to get along with them. This challenge was a little hard for m. Three is easy, but getting in more did seem a little harder. One trick that I used was that I got some of the little low sodium cans of v8 and they make a great snack and are a whole serving a veggeies. Yesterday I knew that I would be out duing lunch time and to battle the hunger I brought a can of v8, an apple and some almonds. Yeah me!

As far as that extra exercise, it is sure a good thing that my yard needed raking as well as my neighbors yard. I easily added an additional 60 or more minutes taking care of that mess and I was able to work up a good sweat. Seasonal exercise counts, I think. :)

  2. Well, I have to admit, I have been doing really well with my dieting!! Last Friday, another department had extra Dunford Doughnuts and kept after me to have one. In the past, I would eat 2 or 3, but I ended up having only half a doughnut. I am also happy to say that I have eaten 5 fruits and vegetables each day this past week. It was easier than I thought!

As far as exercising, I had a couple of days where I wanted to get up early and work out at the Legacy Center; however, I didn't make it on Friday and Monday. I did work out plenty during the week, though. I played basketball twice, for 4 hours during the week, I lifted weights 3 times, approximately 3 hrs; did cardio 3 times for about 3 total hours; and did yoga twice with Abby for about 2 hours. Plus, following Julie's lead, I spent about 3 hours doing yard work.

Here's to no more love handles.... The pain hurts sooo good!

  3. Elisabeth and I added evening workouts doing pilates, or yoga. They are both very relaxing exercises that provide a surprising amount of resistance to muscles all over the body. I ate more fruits and veggies this week, but I didn't get all 5 every day.

  4. I attempted to get in another workout on Tuesday (cram time) but only ran for 15 min before my hour yoga. Also, I missed Saturday. shucks.

But i did get in a 3-serv vegetable salad everyday! And well, lots of fruit.

  5. The fruits and veggies is an easy thing for me, my problem is knowing when to stop of the fruits. So that part was not hard. The exercising was a little difficult. I have had to do 10 min here and 10 min there because the twins think they have to help me. LOL!! I missed two days I think but I still got plenty of exercise. I have walked a lot and done a lot of cardio. I am working on increasing the strengtheing exercises. Here is to a better week of exercise.

  6. I did great this week with the points. I keep track of all my foods at startyourdiet.com and I know I've had at least 5 fruits and veggies everyday. I have also been increasing my exercise. In the morning I am now up to about 40 minutes on elliptical and weights and this week Michael and I added a few evening yoga/pilates videos.
